ABOUT ME
Snow White Trash was officially born when I stepped onto the stage of Madame JoJo's in Soho in the early part of 2014. On a whim, I had entered a drag competition called Trannyshack Academy and walked in wearing my best friend's leotard, her old corset (upside down!), two tutus, and a wig I had made myself by sewing ponytail pieces together (see right).
It was a weekly competition and I made it all the way to the final where the challenge was to perform with a live band. I wore a wedding dress from Camden market, sang Crazy Little Thing Called Love, played the guitar solo on my baritone saxophone, and 'got married' live on stage.
Alas, I was pipped to the post for the crown, but my love for drag and my career were born.
Later that year I went on to perform on the main stage at Trafalgar Square for London Pride and started to perform on some of London's top drag cabaret stages.
My career then had a pause as I completed my drama school training and worked as an actor in music theatre across the country and abroad. In between shows I would don the wig and heels occasionally, and I even played saxophone in drag at European Gay Ski Week for three years running.
I moved to Brighton in 2019 and officially relaunched myself as the UK's Saxy Drag Queen! My first full length solo show went down a storm and I've been performing in Brighton and across the country ever since. At Brighton Pride 2022 I took to the main stage playing saxophone with Jake Shears, an experience I'll never forget. I then went onto to join his band the following year and play with him at Glastonbury, Mighty Hoopla, Lytham, and many other festivals, multiple prides, and his 2023 album launch shows.
My solo shows consist of classic power ballads sung through the medium of sax, as well as belting out a few favourites with my own dulcet tones. I love George Michael, Whitney Houston, and Cher!
Quite the holy trinity.
